Fort Myers Beach awarded $400K from state for projects
The new state budget signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday will bring the Town of Fort Myers Beach $400,000 in state funding to support critical infrastructure improvements and strengthen flood resilience throughout the community, the town announced. The funding will go towards road infrastructure Improvements, and stormwater improvements. According to a summary provided by the town, the full $250,000 requested to complete repairs and improvements not already funded on Town-maintained side streets and roads, as well as sidewalks and curbs throughout the island.
