The Fort Myers Beach Art Association is getting into the summer spirit, with the start of its new exhibition “Beach Bliss,” a vibrant celebration of coastal life and summertime. The exhibit opened Thursday, June 4 and will be on display through July 18.

This seasonal exhibit highlights the special connection between the local community and our beaches. As summer begins, local residents enjoy a quieter, more personal experience of the shore, and a chance to reconnect with the natural surroundings and the calm beauty that defines our beaches.

Featuring original works by the gallery’s talented members, “Beach Bliss” invites artists to interpret the beauty of the beach through a wide range of media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel, collage, and multi-media. Each piece reflects a unique perspective on the Southwest Florida shorelines, capturing everything from tranquil seascapes and sunlit sands to the dynamic energy of waves and wildlife.

The Fort Myers Beach Art Association Gallery is located at 13451 McGregor Blvd in Fort Myers, near to Prawnbrokers, Blu Sushi and Bellini’s restaurants. The gallery is open Thursday through Saturday from noon to 6:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to stop by and explore the exhibit, to experience the many interpretations of beach life through the eyes of local artists. In addition to paintings, you will find “minis” (5×7″ paintings at $20 each), and original gift cards created by the artists. When you visit you can meet some of the artists and see them at work. Every Saturday, the association hosts a free “Lunch and Learn” gallery talk from 11:00 am to noon at the gallery, featuring member artists discussing a wide range of art related topics.
