Fort Myers Beach issues warning letters over short-term rental registration compliance

The Town of Fort Myers Beach Community Development Department has issued warning letters to property owners who may not be in compliance with the Town’s Short-Term Vacation Rental Registration Ordinance. The letters, mailed May 5, notify property owners that Town staff were unable to verify registration compliance as required under Section 10-198 of the Town of Fort Myers Beach Code of Ordinances. The Town is encouraging voluntary compliance and providing property owners with an opportunity to complete the registration process before additional enforcement measures are considered. Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation gives out $75K in awards

The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation recently held their end-of-season meeting and announced that $75,000 was given to the Estero Island Historic Society, Fort Myers Beach Art Association, Keep Lee County Beautiful, Bay Oaks Recreation, Ostego Bay Summer Camps, Friends of Lovers Key, Support for Sailing, The Mound House, Estero Bay Buddies, The FMB Chamber Water Foundation, and Beach Kids Foundation.
