What is wrong with making America great again?
To the editor:
Let’s talk about Democrat and Republican presidents.
Jimmy Carter, 1977-1981. The biggest accomplishment president Jimmy Carter had in his four years was winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Other than that, he has been labeled the worst president in U.S. history. Unemployment, 5.8 percent and went to 6.4 percent. Inflation, 14 percent. The people would say why is everybody mad at Carter, he has not done anything. Carter made a whole bunch of campaign promises; he made no effort to fulfill any of them.
Accomplishments of Democrat Bill Clinton. In his first two years, 6 million new jobs and signed a few acts. He was impeached Dec. 19, 1998 for perjury and obstruction of justice relative to Paula Jones, who filed suite for sexual harassment. The House voted to impeach. Too bad he did not know Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti. He also had a lot of fun in the Oval Office with Monica Lewinsky. But Willy was a Democrat so the left would rather find what they can about a Republican as the liberals think Jennifer Flowers and all the others are just liars trying to hurt their poor Democrat president.
Obama. I went to the internet for this as I could not remember anything he did. I inquired “What did Obama accomplish in his eight years as president?” The answer I got was this, this calls for opinions and if you are a Democrat or a Republican. Democrats say he did fine and accomplished a few things. Republicans say a lousy president under Carter in ranking. Obama had a lousy unemployment record 9.4 percent and very high inflation. Unemployment in some places was greater than how many had jobs, and food stamps and unemployment money payments were out of sight.
Now let’s see about President Donald Trump. In his first two years the economy is booming. Eighty-four percent of voters asked what was the one thing that is important to them when you vote said the economy because without a good one, then were back before Trump. Consumer confidence is at a 17- year high. More then 160 companies gave wage increases, bonuses, price reductions or financial benefits to their employees or customers because of Trump’s tax cuts. Trump has improved the economy, bolstered the national security and needs the wall to keep out the illegals and make America thrive again.
I really wish the Democrats would tell me what is wrong with making America thrive and be great again.
I wear my MAGA hat every day. Yesterday, a very nice lady, who is black, asked me if I was afraid I would get beat up for wearing my hat. I told her no, I wasn’t. I said I have not worn a hat for years and I was proud to wear it. I asked her if she thought it was racist. She wasn’t sure so I asked if I could explain what it means. She listened as I told her how it started with a lousy president, Jimmy Carter. After I told her what is was about we had a very nice talk. She was a pleasure to talk to.
