Midwest Food Bank announces a charitable gift of $30,000 from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation. The funds will be used for Food Relief: Community Nutrition.

The funds will help bring nutritious food to families across Southwest Florida who are struggling to put meals on the table. Through a network of more than 200 local nonprofit partners, this support will deliver fresh produce, protein and essential staples directly into neighborhoods where the need is greatest.

“This generous support from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation strengthens our ability to deliver not just food, but nutritious meals to families who need it most,” said Dennis Hall, Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank Florida. “Together, we are improving community health and ensuring consistent access to quality food across our region.”

Suncoast Credit Union, Florida’s largest credit union, founded the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to promote the education, health and emotional well-being of children in the community. Each time a Suncoast member uses their debit or credit card, the credit union donates four cents to the Foundation to fund local initiatives. Since its inception in 1990, the Foundation has raised and donated more than $61 million.

“We’re proud to support our neighbors in need in Southwest Florida with this generous donation,” said Bob Hyde, Vice President of Community Impact for Suncoast Credit Union. “At Suncoast, giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do, and this donation will ensure families have access to nutritious meals,” he added.
