Mound House to host presentation on dolphins

ocal dolphin photographer, author and conservationist Monica Lynn will be making a presentation of photographs and video of local dolphins on Fort Myers Beach at the Mound House on Thursday, Oct. 22.

Lynn will be showing original local dolphin photographs and video she has taken of the Fort Myers Beach pod over a period of nine years on San Carlos & Estero Bay.

“My goal is to help people gain a deeper connection and respect for our local dolphins as sentient individuals worthy of our protection,” Lynn said. “A strong theme of conservation runs through my 45 minute program.”

The 45-minute presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. and is focused around the behaviors of the local dolphin population and their importance. There will be a question and answer period after the presentation.

Doors open at 5 p.m. at the Mound House on 451 Connecticut St. The cost is free for members, and $5 for non-members.
