What’s Up FMB, the Fort Myers Beach business association, is bringing back the mullet festival to the island this Saturday.

A daylong pub crawl and interactive competition will take place, with a dozen participating businesses. The daylong event is expected to include prizes and contests, a best mullet contest, along with specials at local restaurants and watering holes.

At each of the 12 locations taking part, there will be a contest to earn points and stamps for prizes.

Organizers say the festival combines an 80s-themed costume party, interactive business crawl, games, prizes, live entertainment, and an awards celebration into an epic day of fun while supporting local businesses.

Participants will need to sign in at License to Chill on the Margaritaville Beach Resort property between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday. The crawl starts at 11 a.m. and runs through 3 p.m.

The cost to enter is $30 for adults and $15 for children. Participants can sign up during registration or on the What’s Up FMB website online at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/mulletmadness2026/event/tickets/

Mullet madness is back.

An awards ceremony, featuring raffles and prizes will be held at 4 p.m. at Cabana’s at Diamondhead Beach Resort.

Unlike a traditional pub crawl, Mullet Madness is an interactive competition. Participants will visit 12 participating businesses, where each location has created its own unique game or challenge. Players can earn up to 4 points at every stop based on their performance. In addition, each business will award one bonus point using its own unique criteria–whether that’s for creativity, enthusiasm, sportsmanship, best costume, or any fun twist they choose. Participants will also collect stamps at every location, with a perfect score totaling 55 points. Every point matters, and every stop brings a new opportunity to climb the leaderboard.

Snug Harbor Waterfront Restaurant, Smokin’ Oyster Brewery and Wahoo Willie’s are among the participating business locations who have special discounts as part of the Mullet Madness celebrations. All three restaurnts will be offering a free drink up to $8 with any food purchase during the event.

At Snug Harbor Waterfrint Resturant, there will be a Joe Dirt Photo Booth & Props, along with a real fish mullet toss on the docks.

Smokin’ Oyster Brewery will also have a real fish mullet toss.

Wahoo Willie’s will host a rubber mullet toss with live music.

The other participating businesses in the crawl are the Lah De Dah Beach Bar, Blue Parrot, Tunaskin, Tun-N-Fun Sport Rentals, The Nauti Flamingo, The Whale, La Ola Surfside Restaurant, and Nervous Nellie’s.

In addition to competing for the title of Mullet Madness Crawl Champion, participants can enter the Best Mullet Contest, featuring divisions for men, women and children. Whether your mullet is real, fake, or comes straight from the costume shop, everyone is encouraged to join in the fun.

“No mullet? No problem!” said Dawn Miller, President of What’s Up FMB. “Grab a wig, throw on your best 80s outfit, and join us for one of the most outrageous and entertaining events of the summer. Mullet Madness is all about bringing people together, supporting our local businesses, and creating memories that keep people coming back to Fort Myers Beach.”

Awards will also be presented for the overall Crawl Champion, and every participant who completes the crawl will receive a complimentary raffle ticket for the prize drawings.

Tickets include an official Mullet Madness event T-shirt, participant credential, entry into the best mullet contest, official scorecard, stamp card, raffle ticket, and crawl map.
