Gift basket raffles begin for sold-out Putt and Pub
The Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club Putt & Pub is sold out though raffles for gift baskets are set to begin next week and continue through the mini-golf putting event set for Saturday, Jan. 17.
Pre-sale tickets for the gift baskets are set to start next week on the Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club Facebook page, said Fort Myers Beach Woman’s Club Putt & Pub co-chair Dawn Thomas. The cost will be $5 each or five for $20.
“Folks can bid on raffle baskets through the day,” Thomas said. “Many nonprofits and bars will have specials that also can be taken advantage of that support the charity.”
There will be more than 350 people participating in the Putt & Pub. “We are officially sold out for the 14th annual Putt and Pub,” Thomas said.
Sponsored by The King Family Foundation, the event promotes local nonprofits while driving business to island bars and restaurants. The Putt & Pub is a signature fundraiser of the Woman’s Club, whose mission is to uplift and support the entire nonprofit community through creative events and collaborations.

The Putt & Pub course is expanding to 12 holes this year, giving more restaurants and nonprofits the chance to join the fun. Teams of four, many dressed in full costume, will putt their way through a nine-hole mini-golf course. Along the way, they can enjoy drink specials, enter raffle drawings, and support multiple local causes.
“We will be creating three designated courses for each team so that play runs smooth and keeps moving along,” Thomas said. “Each team will be given a specific route to ensure flow moves smoothly.”
Each restaurant and bar participating will be benefitting a specific nonprofit.
The Fort Myers Beach bars and restaurants and their corresponding nonprofits are: Beach Bar with The Beach Kids Foundation; La Ola Surfside Restaurant with The Friends of the Mound House; Margaritaville Beach Resort with The Friends of The Fort Myers Beach Public Library; Mr. Waves for the Sanibel School Seahorse Choral; Nervous Nellie’s Crazy Waterfront Eatery and the Fort Myers Beach Art Association; Petey’s Upper Deck with the Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce; Smokin’ Oyster Brewery and FMB Strong; Snug Harbor Waterfront Restaurant and the Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation; The Whale and The Friends of Lovers Key State Park; Tiki Bar at The Lighthouse for the Fort Myers Beach Lions Club; Wahoo Willie’s Tiki Bar & Grill and the Fort Myers Beach PTO; and Yucatan Beach Stand with the Women of Irish Heritage SWFL; as well as the FMB Woman’s Club as the overriding sponsor.
“Each hole is run by a local nonprofit and features creative challenges, drink specials, games, and other fundraising opportunities,” Thomas said. “With more holes, more partners, and more fun, this year’s Putt & Pub will be bigger than ever. Proceeds go directly to participating non-profits, and the day ends with a lively awards ceremony at the Margaritaville Sunset Terrace. This is one Fort Myers Beach event you won’t want to miss.”
