Bonita Fish Company celebrating one-year anniversary with specials, raffle giveaway
Bonita Fish Company is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a raffle giveaway, live music, draft deals, special menu items and the opportunity for diners to decide on the acclaimed restaurant’s newest entrée.
The anniversary party is this Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 702 Fisherman’s Wharf on Fort Myers Beach.
“It’s been rewarding to see the community embrace Bonita Fish Company over the past year, whether they’re joining us for a casual lunch, celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a sunset along the water,” said Joe Harrity, a partner with HM Restaurant Group, which manages Bonita Fish Company. “We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with the people who have made our first year so special.”
The newest addition to HM Restaurant Group’s award-winning family of restaurants, Bonita Fish Company blends the casual charm of Old Florida with a modern coastal menu, daily live entertainment, a central bar, picturesque sunsets views and dockside dining along Matanzas Pass.
The anniversary celebration features $3 drafts all day, live music from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and a raffle to win a Bonita Fish Company swag bag filled with goodies and a $100 restaurant gift card. Customers will also enjoy a curated anniversary menu and the opportunity to vote on their favorite dish with a raffle ticket.
The special entrée items include seafood risotto with P.E.I. mussels, littleneck clams, jumbo shrimp and the local catch in a saffron shellfish broth with charred citrus and Calabrian chili-glazed jumbo wings with crispy shallots, cilantro and lime cheek. Diners can also select oysters Rockefeller featuring a half-dozen East Coast oysters with spinach-and-cream reduction, Pernod, Grana Padana cheese and herb-and-garlic breadcrumbs or the coconut-crusted triple tail with jasmine rice, red coconut curry and mango salsa. A special dessert will top off the anniversary menu.
The special menu item that receives the highest number of votes becomes Bonita Fish Company’s newest menu addition.
Bonita Fish Company continues the tradition of its predecessors as a community gathering spot. Located in a historic fish-packing house, built in 1926, the restaurant was most recently Bonita Bill’s. The building was thoughtfully renovated to combine the feel of a dockside fish house with modern comfort and a welcoming atmosphere.
Today, it elevates the dockside experience on Fisherman’s Wharf with Bayside Private Events, an indoor-outdoor waterfront event venue accommodating plated dinners for 70 guests and up to 150 people for standing receptions. The destination is one of a select few standalone waterfront event spaces in Lee County.
The Marina at Bonita Fish Company, a 30-slip deep-water marina with prized direct Gulf access, fully opens in November. It accommodates boats up to 100 feet and provides long- and short-term rentals, including overnight availability, and has 20- to 50-amp shore power and freshwater hookups, dockside pump-out service and wide, stable floating docks. The facility also offers slips for day boaters visiting any of the three HM Restaurant Group restaurants along the wharf, including Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grill and Dixie Fish Company.
Revered for its fresh seafood and weekend brunch, Bonita Fish Company is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. At just a year old, it is ranked among Tripadvisor’s top 10 restaurants on Fort Myers Beach.
