Jersey Mike’s opens on Fort Myers Beach
Jersey Mike’s Subs franchise owners Ron Soriano and Tracy Groenendaal announced the opening of their newest location on Fort Myers Beach.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on Friday at 1661 Estero Boulevard, Unit 7, Fort Myers Beach.
Jersey Mike’s Subs is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Fort Myers Beach Jersey Mike’s is currently hosting a fundraiser benefiting the American Red Cross through August 12.
From Wednesday, July 22, through Friday, July 24, American Red Cross representatives will be at the restaurant sharing important hurricane-preparedness information and educating guests about the many ways the organization supports individuals and families throughout Lee and Collier counties.
“Our goal is for this location to become an important part of the Fort Myers Beach community, not only as a welcoming place to enjoy a delicious meal, but also as a business known for its generosity, community involvement and philanthropic efforts,” said owners Tracy Groenendaal and Ron Soriano in a statement.
For the past five years, Groenendaal and Soriano have been committed to mentoring and creating meaningful employment opportunities for at-risk youth, adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, individuals rebuilding their lives following incarceration, individuals recovering from substance-use disorders, individuals transitioning through halfway houses or supportive-living programs.
Through hands-on mentorship, team members gain entrepreneurial knowledge, workplace experience, practical life skills, encouragement and guidance as they work toward their personal and professional goals.
The owners also proudly work alongside organizations including St. Matthew’s House and DLC to support individuals and families throughout the community.
“Jersey Mike’s is about much more than serving a delicious sub,” Groenendaal said. “We believe in leading with compassion, investing in people and doing God’s work, one sub at a time.”
The owners’ Jersey Mike’s locations offer a 20% discount every day to Sheriff’s department personnel, police officers, firefighters, veterans, EMTs and other first responders, active-duty military members and their families.
“We deeply appreciate the sacrifices these extraordinary individuals and their families make to protect our safety, preserve our freedoms and support the well-being of our communities,” Groenendaal and Soriano said in a statement. “It is our privilege to serve those who so selflessly serve us.”
