Grillin and Chillin – Booba’s Bar celebrates one year open with big party Saturday
Eagerly celebrating one year open in the Fort Myers Beach Shopping Plaza “somewhere on San Carlos Island,” local cool couple Windy and Booba Hess are having an all-afternoon anniversary party at Booba’s Bar Saturday, kicking off at 2 p.m.
“This is our way of showing how much we appreciate the locals coming here in and out of season, supporting us 100 percent of the time,” said Booba. “Come by and celebrate one year open with us Saturday.”
An avid and talented grill master, Booba will once again have the smoker going, serving up a rotisserie pig roast, and all are encouraged to come by, have a plate and check out the new outdoor covered patio garden.
“We have indoor and outdoor seating now, and people are really enjoying the new shaded patio,” Booba said.
Throughout the Saturday celebration, plenty of raffles and prizes will be given out, including hotel stays and other great gifts from local businesses.
“We’ll have lots of beer specials, and Budweiser will be on hand that day with plenty of giveaways, as well,” Booba said.
Enjoy live music by Wild Bill in the afternoon, followed by Del Mar’s karaoke in the evening. There’s no charge to attend.
“Stop by, have some barbecue and celebrate with us thanks to everyone for your support.”
Booba’s Bar serves beer and wine seven days a week and live music Fridays and Saturday, along with fresh barbecue Booba-Q cook-outs every Sunday around noon. And if available, pick up a jar or two of Booba’s homemade marinades and BBQ?sauces.
The local bar plans to offer weekly ladies’ nights every Wednesday starting in May, which will feature two-for-one drinks for the gals from 7 to 10 p.m., and live music all night.
