The Friends of the Mound House hold fund-raiser
The Friends of the Mound House is hosting their spring fund raiser, The Stories My Clothing Can Tell, at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30th.
Moderated by local speaker, author and playwright, Laurie Nienhaus with local Fort Myers Beach women as models, this is a lively and funny program that holds a few surprises. The vintage reproduction gowns with a time-line ranging from the mid 1800’s through the 1920’s, all have a place in history as well as a story to tell. Lively, funny, and with a few surprises, the afternoon includes a silent auction and a teacup auction. Prizes include Cohiba Robusto cigars, a pair of vintage sterling cuff links, 2 rounds of golf with cart included at the Fort Myers Beach Golf Club, and a bottle of Moet champagne.
This event is held at the Fort Myers Beach Art Association at the corner of Donora and Shell Mound on Fort Myers Beach. Light refreshments will be served.
Pre-registration is required and the attendance fee is $20 for members of Friends of the Mound House and $25 for non-members. Reservations can be made by calling Ceel Spuhler at 765-6472 or by sending a check made out to The Friends of the Mound House to P.O. Box 154, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931.
