Bonita Fish Company will be hosting a dock party open to the public this Friday to welcome the ROAR Offshore powerboats.

Visitors to the Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant and docks will have the opportunity to meet national and international racing teams from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

HM Restaurant Group, which operates Bonita Fish Company and its docks, donated $10,000 as the gold-level sponsor of the Fort Myers Beach Offshore powerboat races. The event, which runs from Friday to Sunday, is returning after a five-year hiatus due to Hurricane Ian.

There will be live entertainment at Friday’s event. Bonita Fish Company is located in Fort Myers Beach off Fisherman’s Wharf next to Dixie Fish Co.

“There’s a lot of excitement around the return of ROAR Offshore, and we’re glad to be part of it,” said Joe Harrity, a partner with HM Restaurant Group, which manages Bonita Fish Company. “Events like this bring tremendous energy to Fort Myers Beach, support local businesses and give residents and visitors another reason to experience the island.”

The race includes qualifying heats on Friday and Saturday and the championship on Sunday at 1 p.m.
