"A highness of royal terns" by Susan Lanz will be featured at the Fort Myers Beach Art Association's February show.

The Fort Myers Beach Art Association (FMBAA) is proud to announce “Soaring,” a dynamic juried exhibition showcasing exceptional works by both professional and emerging artists. The exhibition will be on view February 2-27 at the Fort Myers Beach Art Association Gallery.

Soaring invites artists and viewers alike to explore themes of elevation and aspiration, expressed literally through depictions of flight or symbolically through creative perspectives. This year’s dual-category format allows seasoned professionals and rising talents to present their work side by side, offering a vibrant cross-section of local artistic expression.

The Awards Reception takes place on Wednesday, February 4 at 6 p.m., then a gallery talk will happen on Sunday, February 8, from 3-5 p.m., where juror Jan Atkielsi’s commentary will highlight the afternoon. The event is free and open to the public.

“We’re excited to bring the community a show that reflects the optimism and resilience embodied in the theme ‘Soaring,'” said Fort Myers Beach Art Association member Susi Wingenroth. “By including categories for both Professional and Emerging Artists, we’re celebrating the full spectrum of creativity that enriches our region.”
