Get ready to visit the Big Apple right here in Southwest Florida, as the annual Bayside Estates style show and luncheon struts the runway Friday, Feb. 24, beginning at noon, going to about 2:15.
The Bayside Community Clubhouse will be transformed into the Manhattan skyline, with guys and gals from all over town invited to partake in this fun, NY-NY-themed afternoon of style.
Along with a fancy brunch spread and complimentary champagne, the style show will feature fashions from local boutique Anthony's Ladies Apparel.
"We have 11 models all Bayside residents who will be showing off gorgeous fashions, from beach-wear to formal-wear and any occasion in between, with handsome tuxedoed escorts helping our ladies to and from the stage, and escorting our guests to and from their seats," said Carol Kalmar, lead coordinator of the annual show. "This is the second year Anthony's has shown off their fashions during our style show, and we just love them."
As the Bayside Clubhouse is rather large, and several hundred are expected to be in attendance, models strut the runway first, followed by walking through the audience, so guests can see the fashions, styles and accessories up close and personal, giving them a chance to feel the material and see the quality craftsmanship.
All those attending are treated to a full lunch, champagne and drinks, dessert, the chance to win more than 40 fabulous door prizes throughout the event, a 50/50 raffle, and, of course, the style show, all for $15 per person.
"We are very thankful to the many local business who contributed to our door prizes we have so many to raffle off this year," Carol said. "Where I'm from, this would be a $45 event, so for $15, you can't beat that. What a great way to spend the afternoon!"
Door prizes include several gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses, and all guests of the show also receive a discount card to Anthony's Ladies Apparel.
"With our New York, NY?theme, you can view the New York skyline right here in Bayside," Carol said. "It's going to big and bold with lots of surprises in store."
There is plenty of parking available, and handicap drop-off and pick-up is available at the front entrance to the clubhouse. To reserve your seat(s) for Friday's show, call Carol, 239-415-4485.
