Special Children’s Time
The session this Wednesday will greet author, Susan O’Hara, who will share her love of writing and reading with the children. She has written a family story “Tim’s First Baseball Game” that will start this session in a special way.

Seeking computer instruction? Consider the Computers Basics demo and discussion on March 2, or the Introduction to Windows 7 on March 8. Pre-register.
Diane Davis offers a chance on March 3, to practice painting basics. This is a perfect opportunity to get started, understand possible basics to continue, or give yourself a chance to move on a project. Pre-register.
Travelers might consider the Visiting Australia presentation on March 3, or the Conversation Spanish class on March 4. The Spanish class continues on March 11.

Local author W.C. Highfield is here on March 10, to share his fun with writing and particularly the joy of local island life as depicted in his works.
Jacques
Brian Jacques died this month after an active ordinary life. As a milkman he was once invited to read books to the children at a school for the blind. He found the stories dreadful and not inspiring. This prompted him to write his own children’s novel. While it took awhile to get to print, eventually it did and resulted in what has become one of the Redwall books.
As a manual laborer, he blended the best of that world with a fiction world and, after age 40, built on the insights he came to recognize. His books depict a conflict between good and evil. Published in more than 20 countries, his works have sold in excess of 20 million copies and appear in 28 languages.
