Artist of the Month

Works this month come to us through the talent and courtesy of the Beach Art Association. Not only can one appreciate the accomplished work of these artists but one gets quick feel how the Art Association promotes the practice and appreciation of art. Artist works include ones from Lee Ackert, Fred Bushnell, Nancy Randall, Kathleen Taylor, Michele Barron Buelow, Pauline Healey, Avis Schmitz and Betty Weise.

African Display

The Senior Zone display case highlights African art provided through the kindness of Miffy Greer. One can enjoy the distinctive, dramatic styles that capture something of the elusive “spirit” of Africa. Under the case find two large size books “Africa Adorned” and “A Day in the Life of Africa”-feel free to pick these up and spend some time enjoying the art and commentary.

The case at the top of the stairs continues the African theme with focus on jewelry of Africa, also courtesy of Miffy.
