Manners
As you might guess in an active public place like the library, we grow to appreciate those users who have manners. It really seems true that good manners are not inherited from generation to generation, and are therefore learned skills.
As library staff, we try to modify distracting behaviors. We try to gently remind and if a user doesn’t show respect and regard for others, will be asked to leave. But it’s not just the job of staff. All of us in the community need to work together.
We encourage smokers to be aware that those behind them who need to walk through smoke may be very susceptible to or injured by second-hand smoke.
We encourage the cell phone to be put off or on vibrate and make all calls outside.
Coughing, sneezing and nose blowing needs an immediate cover.
If you spend some leisure time in the library, keep your feet on the floor and no bare feet on padded furniture.
Thanks for your assistance.
Library Hours
Don’t remember library hours? Call for information. When we are closed, a recorder gives the hours of operation, either on 765-8162 or on 765-8163. Except for holidays, which would be mentioned on the recorder, we are open Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We look forward to seeing you.
