Artist of the Month

Paintings by artist Fred Bushnell grace the Conference Room this month. Fred is a retired farmer and he paints what he knows best. You’ll notice Midwestern rural scenes as well as Florida scenes.

His moon-washed colors are a contrast of brilliant light and shadows that leave a lasting impression on the viewer. When you view his watercolor treasures, look for the immense color he tucks into a painting. The more one stands back and lingers in the painting, the more color one notices.

Disney

Our displays this month in the Senior Zone display and in the case at the top of the stairs on the second floor feature Disney and its world. The many varied creations, from the collection of Faith Ann, highlight what she would readily say is “so true, so true” when Disney said “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination in the world.” And if that’s not enough, Faith Ann would remind us of another Disney treasure: “Disneyland is the star; everything else is in the supporting role.”
