How much is a life worth?
To the editor:
I saw on News4 that Project Lifesaver is being discontinued by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office because it is too expensive. I have to disagree with eliminating this program.
This program provides bracelets to those with Alzheimer’s disease, Down syndrome and autism. The bracelets are paid for by the individuals or through grants, thus it costs nothing for the county initially. It may cost very little for the locator to be used to find these residents of Lee County, and Cape Coral.
I will now direct this at Cape Coral City Council and Lee County commissioners. How much is a person’s life worth? There is no dollar value that can be placed on a life. How many lives have been saved by this program?
Stop with the liberal ideas and continue this program.
