Eight years is enough

To the editor:

The U.S. Senate race down to the wire. Who will be the better choice, incumbent Bill Nelson or Rick Scott, a multi-millionaire who lied about his net worth?

Lying comes as second nature for Scott. He has been involved in controversy his entire business and political life. He was the CEO of Columbia/HCA, the same company involved in the largest Medicare fraud in history. During his deposition, Scott plead the Fifth Amendment 75 times. Scott resigned from Columbia the same year the federal investigation was opened.

Scott is in favor of privatizing Medicare and Social Security. His hit-below-the-belt campaign is typical of a desperate man who is out of a job with no place to go.

The environment was not his concern during his eight years in office. He did nothing to mitigate our algae problem. A lot of talk and no action should be his middle name.

Enough about Scott. We need to keep Bill Nelson in office.

Nelson has a proven record of accomplishments and is a centrist politician who works with both sides of the isle. Google Senator Nelson and you will get a full insight in what Sen. Nelson is all about and what he has accomplished during his life, including his political milestones. Be your own judge of facts, not made up insults and lies by the Scott campaign.

The best and only choice is Bill Nelson. Let Rick Scott go home and count his money.
