To the Editor:
Anita cares. When she was recently mayor, she had small meetings to which all islanders were invited. Her idea was to get input from any and all islanders and to understand their concerns and wishes. When verbally attacked regarding situations, the hurt in her eyes showed but she always responded in a calm, reasonable manner, citing the appropriate law or referencing the comprehensive plan. Why does she have any desire to run for town council again? The simple reason is that she truly loves this town. I believe she will listen to the people of Fort Myers Beach rather than push her own agenda. Our town is at a crossroads. We need a council member who knows the comp plan and laws inside and out. Vote Anita.
