My friends, we need the best we can get. The issues currently facing our community are complicated and require the attention of those who are no strangers to the unique attributes and requirements of Fort Myers Beach. Among the candidates in the upcoming election for town council, there is one standout: Anita Cereceda. As a longtime resident and business owner, as a current and former council member and mayor, Anita has shown a keen appreciation of our town’s personality along with its needs for the future.
Combined with an uncommon generosity of spirit, her experience and unfailing willingness bear a hand and share a wise word have been invaluable. Be the best and do the best by voting for Anita Cereceda.

I am writing in support of Anita Cereceda’s bid for re-election to the Town Council. Anita has been a dedicated volunteer to this town for years. She has sacrificed time she could have given to her two Times Square businesses because Fort Myers Beach means so very much to her. She has the experience and knowledge that we need. She is very articulate and knows how to talk to people and get her point across without alienating them. She is very well versed on the charter and was one of the original five people who served to write the Town of Fort Myers Beach comprehensive plan. If you have been paying attention to the meetings,you can see that we need leadership. She has been one of only two voices of reason for the past few years. Anita has her finger on the pulse of this community and all who know her realize just how much of herself she has given for us, the residents and business people alike. She is smart, fair, capable and dedicated. What more can we ask?

This is the time we have the opportunity to write a letter for our favored candidate. I realize that the first six letters of that word candidate describe Anita Cereceda.
Candid – frank, forthright, direct, straight-forward, straight-from-the-shoulder, plain speaking, heart-to-heart. Anita has been involved in the town’s history for 21 years, being chosen twice as mayor. This background is a foundation that has clearly a range of knowledge to listen and to work on those projects that come before the council and a willingness to complete and fulfill their purpose.
The council that is formed in March will make decision that will have massive impact on our beach and town. These decisions must be based on a willingness to listen and to find solutions for the betterment of all citizens as well as businesses. Significant changes are ahead of us. Changes that can enhance the character of our town handled properly will result in long term improvement for years to come. Anita Cereceda is an outstanding candidate and worthy council member.
