What we need at the Times Square area is a volleyball competition. We will have spring breakers and local schools and colleges that will be interested with prizes for the teams 1-2-3 place. This could go on for years. It would take a good workshop and council to do so (amen).
Renters on the island do not know what the ordinances consist of, plus a lot of homeowners. No.1, dogs on leashes at all times; 2. debris, recycle and garbage containers put out 24 hours before and removed within 24 hours after pick up. People put items out for the next week the day after pickup. No. 3, vegetation and grass less than 12 inches; 4., noise ordinance is 10 p.m.to 7 p.m.; 5., papers pick up within 24 hours of being thrown on the driveway; 6., description of yard sales for the year – two yard sales of one week total for the year.
I have spoke to the ex-mayor and council members about these concerns to no prevail over the years. I have suggested a forum concerning this be sent in the way of the water and sewer statement and with the town owns. It would certainly help the code enforcement personnel.
