How to improve Estero Island

To the Editor:

1. Release the Mound House to the Historical Society completely including maintenance. Savings for the council.

2. The project that’s being done on Estero Boulevard with no stoppage from Crescent Street to the south end. The inconvenience and losses the businesses had for the last 19 months and counting. Now we have a stoppage at the trailer park Red Coconut. It’s all about friendship, favoritism and POLITICS. May 20, the project is supposed to come back and work on the area of the trailer park. It should be Dec. 20, 2017 so they can have the inconvenience like the rest of the businesses! Who next to have stoppage on the project?

3. What we we need on the island is for the county to take over completely. Maybe they could send the dogs off the beach to Lovers Key dog beach due to being a nuisance and not sanitary.

Maybe the county could run our island right and get us out of debt and the right personnel to run the town. The town does not have a full-time beach patrol on only the beach. They should have personnel taking care of the accesses and a separate full time beach patrol on the beach. Someone else should be doing the accesses.
