Cruiser’s Day thanks supporters

To the editor:

The Anchorage Advisory Committee for the Town of Fort Myers Beach and Matanzas by the Bay co-sponsored the eighth annual Cruiser’s Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 28. The event showcased the Town’s 70-ball mooring field and facilities, and thanks the boaters who use it. The day was a huge success and could not have happened without the help from the following people and businesses.

Thanks to the following businesses for donations to the raffle: The Pierside Grill, SOB’s, Bonita Bill’s, Truly Scrumptious Caf, Matanzas Inn Resort, Royal Scoop, Fresh Catch, Nervous Nellies, The Goodz, Skye’s Restaurant, Fish House Restaurant, The Pier Peddler, Matanzas by the Bay, Local Color, Shipwreck, The Lani Kai, Castaways, South Beach, Pete’s Time Out, and the Key West Express.

Thanks to Awesome Sauce for their great music and the Coors girls for their participation.

Thanks to Glen, Dave, Chris and all the folks at Matanzas by the Bay who helped plan, set up, cook and serve food and drink.

Thanks to Bob Beasley for arranging for the chairs and tables.

Thanks to all the town staff, who set up and took down the tents and equipment and helped before, during and after the event.
