Veterans encouraged to attend American Legion Wellness Fair

To the editor:

The American Legion, Melvin Cowart Post 274 () on Fort Myers Beach is hosting a Wellness Fair at its 899 Buttonwood Dr. location on Jan. 10, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This wellness fair is free to all veterans of Southwest Florida.

There is no affiliation to a Veterans Organization required, just be a veteran of any branch of the United States Armed Forces.

The providers we have are volunteers, they are not receiving any compensation and are not soliciting for patients. They are providing screenings and evaluations, if asked, to all. There will be some vendors offering discounted services to veterans, but there is no expectation on their part.

There will also be donuts & coffee offered in the morning and a free lunch to all those who participate and take advantage of the wellness fair.
