Royal Scoop to help seniors again
To the editor:
I wanted to let everyone know that I have received my tree for the Santa for Seniors.
I want to thank all the people that helped out last year and that, with our help, Home Instead Senior Care was able to help more than 10,000 seniors.
I would like to ask for people’s help again this year to make those people who are by themselves and are in need of just that little gesture to put a smile on there face. All they have to do is come to Royal Scoop and pick a name off of the tree, buy a gift or two for that person and just bring it back to Royal Scoop before Dec. 15.
I am wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless.
— Home Instead Senior Care partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors who might not otherwise receive gifts this holiday season. The company then works with local businesses and retail stores to help facilitate the purchase and distribution of gifts by placing trees and ornaments within their various locations. Each senior’s gift requests are written on a Be a Santa to a Senior tree ornament.
