Vote for Schindler

To the editor:

In the FMB Fire Board elections, Ed Milde is up against Ted Schindler, who has a proven record of fiscal responsibility and has an accomplished financial background. Mr. Milde is hanging his hat on his experience in CERT, which is noteworthy program of volunteers that aids the FMB community. I thank him for that, but he is not in touch with the real challenges of the FMB Fire Department. When Milde was asked what were the top two challenges of the district? His response was “developing a Public Education Program and expanding the training opportunities for the men and women of the FD..” The latter is important but the first demonstrates the lack of knowledge of the commissioners’ responsibilities. Possibly if he would attend the meetings and workshops he would know what the real challenges are.

The FMB Fire District, due to responsible citizens like Ted Schindler, is not going bankrupt like other districts. Other districts are adding fees while FMB is providing great service at no extra costs.

I strongly recommend a vote for Ted Schindler this November.
