Residents endorse fire board candidates

To the editor:

There are two new candidates who are now not on the Fort Myers Beach Fire Control Board but have great hopes to put on a ” Commissioner Hat” in the Nov. 4 election.

Ed Milde is a newcomer to many islanders but not to CERT. He has been a volunteer and a monthly trainer on Citizen and Hurricane Preparedness, Mass Casualty Incidents, Local Damage Assessment, as well as Terrorism Awareness and many other related subjects to our group. His background is well attuned to what a Commissioner needs to understand the agenda before them.

With Bob Raymond having been a former Mayor, a Councilman, as well as serving on the LPA, he certainly has the knowledge and expertise to fulfill this position for all the years of service he has given to the town.

To have two new opinions and solutions to questions and answers that come before the Fire Board, we feel strongly that these two men will bring a fresh look to all the items that appear on the Commissioners’ agenda.
