‘Spirit of the Holidays’ looks for support

2 min read

To the editor:

The Beach Kids Foundation is gearing up for their annual Spirit of the Holidays Fundraiser where they partner up with our fabulous Beach firemen and local Sheriff feputies to make sure Beach kids and families who need a little help, receive it, to have a great holiday season.

Through the generosity and kindness of this community, the Beach Kids Foundation is able to support beach kids and families all year round. So many of you, whether year-round residents or snowbirds, donate in different ways to ensure kids, seniors, families and even animals on this island are taken care of. We are definitely a special community.

The Spirit of the Holidays Fundraiser has been helping children and families for more than 17 years. Last year they delivered presents to more than 100 children and assisted more than 40 families in the Fort Myers Beach area.

The Beach Kids Foundation is currently collecting donations, both monetary or items to auction for the Spirit of the Holidays dinner (to be announced). If you would like to donate an item, money or put together a basket to be auctioned off, just let me know (t-gore@comcast.net) and I will come by to pick it up. You can also drop donations off at the Red Coconut. All contributors to the fundraiser will receive recognition. The Beach Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization, and donations are tax-deductible.

Thanks Beach Community!
