Bay Oaks staff thanks Beach Pierside Grill
To the editor:
A few weeks ago Jan from The Beach Pierside Grill called Bay Oaks with the idea of having a fundraiser, giving all the proceeds that day to the Bay Oaks Youth Program. Of course we said yes, and before we knew it the planning began.
With little to no help needed from Bay Oaks staff, The Beach Pierside Grill took charge and collected dozens of wonderful donations from local businesses. The event was held on Saturday Sept. 21, from 1 to 5 p.m. and included raffles, drink specials and spectacular entertainment from local musicians.
The Bay Oaks youth program is made possible thanks to businesses like the Beach Pierside Grill and their generous contributions. All money earned is used for scholarships for children in the Summer Camp Program, Club Rec After School Program and other various youth programs.
On behalf of the kids at Bay Oaks, we would like to personally thank Jan, Lisa, Marty, all Pierside staff and of course everyone who came out Saturday to help raise money.
