Town to put on Fourth of July Parade and activities

July 4th on Fort Myers Beach gets better every year!
The sixth annual Fourth of July Parade will be planned and implemented by the Town this year.
We are looking for individuals, groups and organizations to be a part of our festivities. We line-up at Bay Oaks and travel to Times Square at 10 a.m. There’s always a great many parade goers along the way.
Do you run, walk, ride a bike, roller skate, skateboard or play an instrument? Are you part of a social or civic organization? Car Club or Bicycling group? Perhaps you’d like to be or build a “creative” parade entry? Or maybe you just have a group of crazy friends that would add a little spice to our island parade?
We NEED you to make this year’s event eventful!
July 4th is always a Red, White and Blue theme please consider joining us to celebrate our great USA! Following the parade, there will be music in Times Square from noon right up until the fireworks display. This year, we are bringing vendors and artisans to the Square. Additionally, children’s activities will be sponsored by Bay Oaks. Then be sure to plan on finding your favorite spot on the island to watch our tremendous July 4th fireworks display, set to explode around 9:30 p.m.
The Town of Fort Myers Beach July 4th Celebration is fast becoming a celebration not to be missed! Hope to see you there!
