Environ-mental thinking
To the editor:
I wholeheartedly agree with Peter Reid’s letter to the editor in last week’s Observer, titled “Fracking Not all Bad”.
But, I do also believe that any businesses that do pollute the environment should be monitored and stopped from doing so. It is economic suicide to shut down entire industries from operating just because of flawed, inaccurate environmental thinking.
Many environ-“Mental”-ists today, envision a world utopia “Garden of Paradise” while legislating us all and America back to the Stone Age. Back when the BP Spill scare occurred, I walked the section of Fort Myers Beach where the “No Drilling” demonstration was held, saw absolutely no oil residue, and was shocked to see the amount of protest placards, plastic drink cups and other assorted garbage that was left behind by the protesters. All I can say is develop new renewable energy resources, but meanwhile, drill baby, drill!!!! Enough Said.
