Residents don’t appreciate all-day music festival

To the editor:

Help us City Council! We know we are the lowest on the pole, but we need a break.

Every other weekend you give Nervous Nellies permission to break the so-called “Noise Ordinance” by allowing them to have live bands playing, literally, in the back yards of us residents.

Remember us, your constituents, who also pay taxes to live on this Island?

We are bombarded by these bands. Nervous Nellies has no respect for their neighbors on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Street. Please show your respect for us!

The Spring Fling started for us residents at 8:30 a.m. with testing 1-2-3 for half an hour. Then, the Bands had to “practice” from 9 a.m. to noon and played from

2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Then, we had to listen to them break down all the equipment until 11 p.m. Nervous Nellies went to bed counting money and us residents went to bed with migraines!

We like music, just not in our back yard. Please try to remember us next season and let someone else have a turn getting a migraine.

Help us City Council. Please no more bands in our back yard!
