Motorcycle noise should be discussed issue

To the editor:

We read the article in your April 3rd edition of the Fort Myers Beach Observer titled ” Flight tracking system now available,” which concerns noise problems with aircraft flying over the island.

We have been visiting the island for a couple of months for about 10 years, and the only objectionable noise for us is the motorcycle cowboys in love with straight pipe exhausts.

If there is a town noise ordinance it surely would not allow these blasts from these cowboys. We can only assume there is no ordinance or it is not being enforced. If the Fort Myers Beach Town Council would like to do something to make visitors’ stays more enjoyable, they could look into this problem.

Many people are annoyed by this racket.
