Cruisers’ Day event official offers thanks
To the editor:
The Anchorage Advisory Committee for the Town of Fort Myers Beach and Matanzas Inn co-sponsored the sixth annual Cruiser’s Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 23. The event showcased the Town’s 70-ball mooring field and facilities, and thanks the boaters who use it. The day was a huge success and could not have happened without the help from the following people and businesses:
Thanks to the following businesses for donations to the raffle: Beach Pierside Grille, SOB’s, Bonita Bill’s, Truly Scrumptious Caf, Matanzas Inn, Castaways, Surf Club, Sand Bar, Nervous Nellies, Flippers, Lover’s Key Resort, Gift of Life Foundation, Skye’s Restaurant, Fish House Restaurant, South Beach Grille, Krusty Pete’s, the Lynx, Shipwreck, Fish Tale Marina and the Key West Express.
Thanks to Bob Beasley for arranging for the chairs and tables, and Josh Tuyls, Ryan Crown and friends for delivering them.
Thanks to all the town staff, including Don and Marcus who set up and took down the tents and equipment, who helped before and during the event. Thanks to Chris, Dave, Kathy, and all the others at Matanzas Inn who helped with the food and drinks.
And thank you, Beach Observer and Beach Bulletin, for your promotion and coverage of Cruiser’s Appreciation Day.
