Beach Lions thank those who contributed to Shrimp Fest success

To the editor:

On behalf of the Fort Myers Beach Lions, we would like to thank everyone that helped make the 55th annual FMB Lions Shrimp Festival a success.

Thank you to the Ft. Myers Beach Observer for their coverage, the Gulf Shore Grill for hosting the Sunset Social for the Queen and Princesses, all the government officials that had to approve our permits, Semmer Electric, the countless non-Lion individuals that showed up asking if they could help (there are never enough volunteers) and last but certainly not least, the thousands of local, snowbird and casual visitors that lined the parade route, attended the Expo Arts and Crafts Fair, bought t-shirts and purchased shrimp dinners. Your support is greatly appreciated.

I would also like to add a “thank you” to Vicki Little and Paul Yacobeli from the Lee County Parks and Recreation Department. Your involvement and that of your dedicated staff with the Lions Shrimp Festival is greatly appreciated. Best wishes with your new responsibilities.
