Fire board candidate receives endorsement

To the editor:

John Pohland is running for seat #4 on the Fort Myers Beach Fire Commision. He successfully started, owned and operated a company for 23 years. Since moving to FMB, he has been active on many local advisory boards, such as Traffic Safety Committee and Air Intrusion Relief group, just to name a couple. He is a member of FMB CERT. John would like to lower the millage rate and has many innovative plans to reduce the spending of our fire department.
