Resident appreciates town worker’s values
To the editor:
On Aug. 31, 2012, I walked out to my beach to get my son from his bus stop. Working hard at beach access #16 were two town workers. This was right after Tropical Storm Isaac and just before the Labor Day holiday.
I stopped to say hello, and to thank them for working so hard to keep “my” beach beautiful. The one man said, “I do it because I love this place too. It’s a beautiful place.”
I didn’t get the town worker’s name, but I just wanted to tell him and the entire town work crew THANK YOU for keeping our little piece of paradise beautiful! We appreciate your hard work, but it especially made me happy to hear him say that he loved this island too.
