Beach Theater sign is a marquee
To the editor:
I understand that the Town of Fort Myers Beach has cited the Beach Theater for noncompliance of the sign ordinance. This sign is fairly low and just large enough to list the titles of the movies currently being shown.
If the sign were smaller, it would be impossible to display the information we expect on a marquee.
The theater has already closed once because they struggling. Let’s encourage Council to give them a break, call it a marquee and call it a day.
