Time to lay off spending money against Beach Library
To the editor:
This letter is directed to Al Durrett and his “followers.”
It seems to me that you have either too much money or too much time on your hands to have hired “your attorney” to review the methods the Library Board used to fund the expansion of the library.
Our Council (at taxpayers expense) hired an independent law firm to review the activities of the Library. Both Mr. Durrett’s and the Council’s “independent councils” have found no grounds for further legal action, so you then contacted our Governor requesting something more be done to stop this expansion
The Florida Joint Legislative Audit Committee found no merit to your complaint, so now you have gone to the County Commissioners.
When are you going to concede??? What is your problem???
If you have so much money to spend, try to lower the rent of the Santini Marina Plaza businesses so that they can stay there in this economy. If it is time you have too much of, then come to the library and mingle with the folks who LOVE the place and are SO looking forward to the NEW LIBRARY. You can save face and walk away from this mess and COME TO THE LIBRARY. We would welcome you with our arms open.
