Volunteers amaze!
To the editor:
It took 1,286 volunteers at 11 beaches, 180 minutes to pick up 7,846 pounds of trash/litter, record each piece and properly recycle/dispose of it.
That is truly an amazing feat for a beautiful Saturday morning here in Paradise. Keep Lee County Beautiful Inc. sends their heartfelt appreciation to each and every hardworking volunteer from age 6 to 86. You all represent the meaning of community pride & spirit. The event is made possible by a vast network of committed sponsors, public and private, who step up and give back to the communities they serve.
