9-11 ceremony was a touching tribute

For all of you who did not get to the 9/11 memorial ceremony at Fire Station #33 on Lenell Road, you missed a very touching half hour.
FMB and Bonita Fire Deptartments raised their ladders from which hung the Flag forming an arch where all the local Fire and EMT vehicles passed under. The Color Guard, the Harp and Thistle Pipe Band, FMB Fire Chief Mike Becker’s introductory speech and the Reverend Marcrum with her invocation and the Cert members lining the roadway, Fort Myers Beach should be very proud of it’s reception of the World Trade Center steel memorial, it’s significance and the part this Town contributed to this day.
A special thank you should go to the generosity of Subway at Santini Marina Plaza for Owner Peggy and her hard worker for supplying lunch for all those who
took advantage of it.
