Producer looks for place to stay during filming
To the editor:
First of all I would like to thank this great community that has always been supportive and
helpful with all of my projects as I have endeavored to help others in this part of Florida.
I am writing to tell you about a very important project -a documentary that I am producing- and as part of this project I would require a place to stay for the month of August
When I first discovered that I had macular degeneration, it was a sad day for me and a surprise.
I had always bragged about my 20/20 vision. Sight is a precious gift, and I knew that life
without it would be difficult.
For the first couple of weeks I would wake up every day, open my eyes and think, “Thank God, another day that I can see…” Through my work I learned of the number of children coping with vision loss and how much more difficult it must be for those children.
I have always been a fighter but I knew that this would be the most difficult fight I have faced. I will use my film production skills to bring attention to all aspects of vision loss and, although there is no cure at this time which makes me realize just how important this fight is, I cannot fight this alone and am asking you to join me so together we can help others.
Although there are many breakthroughs in treatment for various eye diseases, there is no cure at this time. I intend to show the positive aspects by reaching out to and communicating with people affected by loss of vision.
I have completed the script and begun working on research and taping interviews.
In order to work on this project I am asking for your help with a place to stay for the
month of August. I have excellent references and would be happy to housesit while I am
staying at this location at no cost.
I am very committed to this documentary and greatly appreciate your help.
