Beach resident wants live music licenses issued at establishments
To the editor:
As some readers may recall, I am the one who wrote the Letter to the Observer last month, protesting the shut down of live music at Times Square by the “Fun” Police.
This is a follow up to that letter for you to think on…….
I went to bed last night in the USA. While I slept, I dreamed that a small panel of People (Local Town Hall and Lee County) felt they needed to control people’s behavior for the supposed betterment of that Community. So inch-by-inch, foot-by-foot, mile-by-mile, they began to strip away at our personal liberaties, social freedoms, and private business abilities.
Inch-by-inch, our Community and it’s People were bound and gagged, duck taped and tied to ropes and chains with rules and regulations, big fee and numerous permits. NOT complying meant Business SHUTDOWNS ,LARGE FINES, or even possibly JAIL.
I woke up to find myself, this morning, in Socialist/Communist Red China !!! Welcome to the “New” Fort Myers Beach,t he “New” Lee County and the “New” USA!!!
Wake up Sleepers!!! Happy 4th of July.
