Stop giving billions to the big oil companies
To the editor:
We need to put an end to this outrageous spending and stand up and fight for our Gulf waters. We need to tell Congress to stop giving billions in handouts to the oil companies. We definitely don’t need a repeat of last year’s Gulf oil spill.
These big money oil companies don’t give a crap about us working class citizens. They’re still not up to safety standards when it comes to drilling off our shores. Our fishing industry has suffered enough over the last several years.
It’s bad enough that the fishing regulations are strict so that it limits the very livelihood of our fellow fishermen. We can stand together and sign a petition to end government handouts to these rich oil companies.
