Realtor proposes monorail for traffic issue

To the editor:

I am a realtor on the beach and have a great idea of how to help increase tourism and decrease the traffic: A monorail system or light rail from Summerlin Road to the beach.

It could be above ground where needed and ground level where possible. Something like Disney World. Then change the Seafarer’s Mall buildings to a multi-level park lot and monorail stop. It would be great if it could run down the island as well, maybe on the Back Bay. Afterwards, put a nice covered bridge walkway over Estero Blvd to the beach, maybe in several places to stop the foot traffic crossing Estero so much.

With all the government money out there for infrastructure, there must be some available to help! Just a thought!
