To the editor:

Last week, Carl Conley made grossly inaccurate statements in a letter to the editor about my father being found “guilty” of tearing down Town signs. This statement made by Carl Conley has been corrected by this paper because the statement was completely false.

Our family and my father, a veteran of the Korean War, have NEVER been convicted of any crime whatsoever. We thank the Observer for their correction and for giving us the opportunity to set the record straight.
