Chamber chairman welcomes winter residents and guests

To the editor:

This is an open letter to our winter residents and guests.

I wanted to share with you our appreciation on behalf of the Greater Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and entire membership that you are here.

We are all concerned about gas prices, the economy and the difficulties in our everyday lives, but your willingness to come to our area gives us even more to be grateful. We have a small community with a great love of our natural beaches and calm, clean waters. Your decision to join us this winter, we believe, is in itself an important recognition of how special our area is to enjoy and recreate.

I hope that if you have any questions or would like more information including maps, brochures, or coupons about our area, I hope you will decide to stop by our Welcome Center. Our address is: 17200 San Carlos Boulevard, Fort Myers Beach (overlooking Summerlin Road on San Carlos Boulevard).
